Title: Dispatcher
Pay Rate Range: $18 - $22 per hour
Location: Bronx, New York
Training Location: You will be required to work out of our Ridgewood location for your first 2 months of employment for training. Once you complete your 2 months of training in Ridgewood, you will then report directly to our Bronx location.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. *schedules are subject to change based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:
- Receive large volume intake calls, prioritize and dispatch calls in CAD System.
- Determine appropriate level of care and coordinate transport calls and activities with EMTs in the field.
- Be courteous and friendly to medical facilities, the public, and fellow EMS staff, providing top tier customer service.
- Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
- Other tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 year's experience in transportation dispatch. EMS Dispatch Preferred.
- Geographical knowledge of service areas.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize each task accordingly.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to type 40/45 wpm’s and experience with data entry.
- Ability to work within a team setting as well as work independently.
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer aided dispatch software (CAD).
- Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) or Certified First Responders (CFR) with 2 years of experience and/or 1 year of EMS dispatch experience, preferred.
