The Difference You will Make:

As a Disaster Response Coordinator within the Global Crisis Management team, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team dedicated to mitigating the impact of unexpected events by preparing, acting decisively, and doing what is right for all of our stakeholders.

A Typical Day: 

Global Incident Response

  • Review incoming incident notifications and complete proactive research to monitor incidents and events globally
  • Determine which incidents warrant a response, and what that response should be
  • Use internal tools to promptly inform both our internal and external communities as needed
  • Draft and coordinate the delivery of preparedness and response messaging for both external and internal audiences
  • Recognize the need to make critical business decisions that consider the tradeoffs and benefits of potential options

Cross-functional Collaboration and Partnership

  • Effectively participate in incident response with cross-functional teams
  • Serve as Point of Contact for the GCM Disaster Response team’s responsibilities and actions
  • Provide critical updates to stakeholders

Operational Execution

  • Actively participate in product and process improvement efforts and collaborate with the operations manager to develop recommendations for improvements
  • Other duties as requested or assigned

  • Communication and Presentation: Exchange information and ideas effectively, adapting to a range of audiences. Pay careful attention to detail in written and spoken communications. Build credibility, trust and connection through communication.
  • Strategic Mindset: Contribute to process improvements and best practices considering long term needs and solutions. Identify risk associated with certain approaches and mitigation strategies if necessary.
  • Problem Solving and Managing Complexity: Prepare clear plans and generate feasible solutions. Apply general knowledge of the business to consider relevant factors including financial, brand, and customer satisfaction risks when deciding how we should respond to an event. Gather and analyze diverse sources of information to implement a clear strategy for tackling complex problems. When needed, suggest improvements to ways of working that address stakeholder needs and existing gaps.
  • Influence: Understand, assess, and anticipate cross-functional stakeholder interests and needs in order to address them more effectively. Provide relevant data and information to support arguments and suggestions. Simplify complex ideas into persuasive recommendations for others. 
Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in disaster response related work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong knowledge of internal tools and policies
  • Experience responding to disasters and crises
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Availability to travel occasionally as required
  • Ability to work unexpected hours as needed

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

€50.000€58.000 EUR
