Job Description:
We are seeking an International Director of Accounting for a 12-month FTC (Fixed-term contract) to partner with the accounting leadership team to lead our world-class international accounting team through the next phase of our Company’s journey. This person will oversee the accounting activities for our various international subsidiaries, including month-end close procedures, recurring journal entries and reconciliations, annual statutory audits and the related financial statements, and people leadership of our international accounting team members based in Ireland and India. This person will also partner with other teams in the department to ensure that international accounting policies are being considered, adopted and applied appropriately. This person will lead any other ad hoc and special projects pertaining to international accounting that arise.

What you’ll do:
Lead the monthly accounting close process for our international subsidiaries
Lead the international accounting team members as their people and functional leader
Oversee the annual statutory audits of our international subsidiaries, including preparing the annual international standalone financial statements
Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with the international accounting standards of the foreign subsidiaries
Evaluate accounting issues related to non-routine and complex transactions, conducting research to identify applicable accounting guidance
Maintain an effective control environment, both financial and operational
As necessary, assist in or lead special projects
Conduct ad hoc financial/operational analysis as required
Experience you’ll bring:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Attention to detail and good time management skills
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA or equivalent required
Master’s degree in accounting or finance level of education from an accredited university
5-7 years of accounting experience; 2-5 years Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
NetSuite experience preferred
Prior management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Experience with multi-national companies, namely US-based businesses with operations in India and Ireland
Financial reporting experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Hybrid Work Model: This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at our Dublin, Ireland office Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
