Director, Enterprise Applications

Description:
We are looking for a Director of Enterprise Applications to drive the vision, execution and ongoing optimization of enterprise business systems. This role will require a strategic thinking and hands-on leader with deep expertise in ERP, HRIS CRM, CMDB, business analytics, enterprise data interchange, and eCommerce platforms. The ability to manage product backlogs, drive cross-functional initiatives, and align technology with business priorities is crucial in this position. This leader will need to proactively stay current with application roadmaps and new releases to ensure the organization leverages modern capabilities that drive automation and business process optimization. This role will be a member of the IT leadership team and will report to the CIO.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, business process optimization, and the product development lifecycle. They excel at translating complex business requirements into scalable, forward-looking technology solutions. With a strong ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams, they foster collaboration across the organization to deliver systems that drive efficiency, actionable insights, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, analyze, provide assessment of solutions, design, implementation and operational management to support corporate organizations (Finance, Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Sales organizations)
• Lead change management, driving adoption of new systems and processes across the business portfolio to align with the corporate roadmap and strategy
• Serve as the Product Owner for enterprise applications, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure maximum value delivery
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, translate needs into functional specifications, and prioritize features and enhancements
• Lead business analysts, internal teams, and vendors on development, support, and release activities
• Drive execution of large programs and portfolio of projects through prioritization, planning (objectives, success criteria, scope, timelines, and cost) and oversight
• Partner with the security and compliance team members to implement and operationalize necessary controls and policies
• Manage globally diverse cross-functional teams to define, build and implement business process and technology solutions that increase efficiencies, improve decision support / analytics capabilities and assist the business in obtaining its revenue goals
• Oversee training and adoption efforts, ensuring documentation, user guides, and onboarding materials are created and maintained
• Organize regular application training sessions to drive business adoption and maximize the value of enterprise tools
• Look for opportunities to utilize AI in bringing more efficiency and automation
• Oversee the budget for all enterprise application initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive efficiency and innovation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies that maximize business value across the organization
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Enterprise Applications strategic initiatives and provide regular reports to senior management

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications
• 5+ years of management experience
• Proven success managing a product backlog and delivering enterprise-scale software solutions
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated experience overseeing full lifecycle implementations of enterprise systems (selection, design, rollout, support)
• Bias for action

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or MBA with a focus in IT, Business, or related disciplines
• Experience leading multiple Enterprise Application strategic projects
• Experience leading teams in high paced environments
• Ability to guide teams through change and ambiguity

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: 180-250k
This position is currently part of Boeing but is planned to transition to an independent company owned by Thoma Bravo, as part of a pending divestiture of the Digital Aviation Solutions organization. If you are selected for this role, your employment may initially be with Boeing (dependent on start date). Subject to final regulatory approvals and closing conditions, your employment may transfer to the divested business owned by Thoma Bravo at close. Additional details about this transition will be shared as they become available.
