DevOps Engineer

ESW, a global leader in direct-to-consumer ecommerce, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us scale our platform and deliver seamless shopping experiences across borders. You’ll be part of a high-performing tech team that thrives on innovation, working with the latest cloud-native tools and CI/CD pipelines to support millions of customers worldwide.

• Play a pivotal role in designing and building cloud platform tools and solutions for one of Ireland’s leading ecommerce companies.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to craft the strategy and define the technical roadmap for our platform.
• Partner with development teams to streamline deployment processes, ensuring smooth delivery from lower environments to production.
• Assess and recommend new tools and technologies based on performance, scalability, cost efficiency, security, and future feature needs.
• Work hand-in-hand with developers to understand requirements and propose smart build-or-buy solutions using industry best practices.
• Bring a new perspective to existing systems, finding opportunities for optimisation and innovation.
• Deliver high-performance, scalable services across both on-premise and cloud environments, with a strong focus on cost efficiency.

• Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering is nice to have.
• Strong knowledge of .NET and PowerShell scripting.
• Deep understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and bicep.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling, including proficiency with yaml.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform or Azure.
• Familiarity with PaaS solutions (e.g., Cosmos DB, Azure Front Door).
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and both Windows and Linux environments.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on efficient problem-solving.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., App Insights, PagerDuty).
