We currently have a number of outstanding opportunities for SPECIAL ENGINEERING DESIGN ASSEMBLERS at our facility located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, including some semi-skilled and skilled roles with varying degrees of technical ability required.

These exciting roles would appeal to those with mechanical/technical/automotive or vehicle service/vehicle maintenance backgrounds however full comprehensive training will be provided for all successful applicants.

Responsibilities for each job may involve a range of the following activities:

• Read SPED (Special product engineering design) drawings to determine the correct assembly requirements and assembly method and best sequence of SPED activities to ensure sub-assemblies and parts fitted both in and outside of line of flow are completed correctly and on time.
• Liaise with materials team to release SPED part kits in the correct sequence for truck builds.
• Complete SPED assembly and sub assembly work content.
• Test trucks built with SPED content to ensure that quality and functionality are achieved per the design intent.
• Work closely within a technically experienced team and being agile to react and deliver to changing workloads and design requirements.
• Deliver truck build to a high standard of quality.
• Diagnose and resolve any mechanical or assembly issues that arise through truck build or SPED options, which may be outside the line of flow.
• Keep daily records and databases updated with accurate information.
• Work closely with team leaders, engineers, and managers to keep production running smoothly.

Applicants must meet the following Essential criteria:

• At least 3 years' experience within a Manufacturing/Assembly environment or alternatively 3 years vehicle mechanic experience
• A practical approach to technical problem solving, and timely resolution
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Ideally, applicants will have previous experience of working in a SPED/Technical environment or diagnostic experience in relation to mechanical/electrical issues
• Ability to work a 2-shift work pattern (rotating late and early shift).
