About the Internship

The Security team’s mission is to strengthen Okta’s position as the leading Identity-as-a-service solutions provider by identifying and resolving risks to employees, products, and, most importantly, our customers. As a Defensive Cyber Operations Intern, you will work closely with our seasoned security professionals to research, detect, investigate, and hunt across threats in Okta’s environment. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on security detection and response experience, and the opportunity to learn about real threats that a SaaS company sees on a day to day basis.

  • Develop custom detections using data analysis, creative thinking and lateral problem solving.
  • Investigate and respond to anomalies using hypothesis driven problem solving.
  • Develop and maintain custom tools to automate detection and response capabilities.

Who We are Looking For

  • Knowledge of modern operating systems, cloud computing, SaaS applications or Security Operation Centres (SOCs).
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL or Splunk is a bonus.
