The Innovation Lab (iLab) is a global capability that accelerates emerging technologies and new ways of working. Based in Novartis Ireland, this role operates as part of the global iLab network, collaborating closely with international partners.
The Decision Intelligence Solutionist (MAVA) is a hands‑on analyst and solution builder who brings structure to ambiguity. Sitting within the Innovation Lab (iLab), you will help accelerate innovation across Metaverse, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), XR, and immersive application technologies by enabling evidence‑based decision‑making.
You will translate emerging technology signals into clear hypotheses, impact models, KPI frameworks, and decision‑ready insights. Your work will support experimentation, pilots, and scale decisions ensuring rigor, speed, and alignment with Novartis governance, data integrity standards, and business value expectations.
This role is ideal for an analytically strong, AI‑curious professional who thrives in fast‑moving environments and wants to grow within a Decision Intelligence and innovation discipline.


 

Job Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate emerging MAVA and immersive technology opportunities by continuously scanning market, technology, and behavioral trends and translating early signals into clear, decision‑ready insights.

  • Assess and prioritize innovation use cases by running rapid, evidence‑led evaluations, documenting assumptions, and preparing structured inputs for experimentation, funding, and stage‑gate decisions.

  • Model business impact and value potential by supporting ROI, NPV, and scenario analyses and translating technical and experiential concepts into credible business impact narratives.

  • Define and operationalise measurement frameworks by establishing North Star metrics, leading and lagging KPIs, and dashboards that track performance, risk, and progress across pilots and scaled initiatives.

  • Support experimentation and learning cycles by contributing to A/B tests, causal analyses, UX studies, and telemetry‑based measurement, ensuring data quality and actionable outcomes.

  • Embed decision governance and responsible innovation principles into prioritisation, measurement, and evaluation processes, contributing reusable templates and standards across the Innovation Lab.

  • Communicate insights and recommendations by synthesizing complex evidence into concise decision briefs, executive summaries, and clear trade‑off discussions for senior stakeholders.

  • Enable cross‑lab alignment by supporting consistent Decision Intelligence methods, evidence standards, KPIs, and value modeling across innovation verticals.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree / Masters qualified in a relevant technical / business area.

  • Experience with Decision Intelligence platforms or structured decision frameworks.

  • Program‑level KPI framework design experience.

  • Advanced experimentation platforms (e.g., Statsig, GrowthBook).

  • Causal analytics methods (uplift modeling, treatment effects).

  • Experience measuring value realization and post‑launch impact of immersive solutions.

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or regulated technology environments desirable.
