The Data Tokenization Team Lead is a subject matter expert in the field of tokenization.  A critical role in safeguarding sensitive data within business-critical applications.  Leads a team of technical professionals responsible for designing and maintaining data tokenization strategies, ensuring data privacy and compliance requirements are met.  Is the primary technical drive behind the existing implementations and development of future roadmaps.  Developed communication skills are required to interface with operations and applications teams to deliver updates and troubleshoot issues.  Whilst this role is primarily focused upon design and engineering function for Data Tokenization, additional responsibilities will include leading a small team managing other Data Security Tooling technologies with reporting SMEs responsible for the respective engineering and product management functions.

What you will do:

  • Develop and communicate product road maps for responsible technologies which demonstrate a risk-based approach in partnership with operation and application leads, and critical stakeholders.

  • Provide technical subject matter expert guidance to deliver the engineering functions for enterprise tokenization infrastructure.

  • Identify opportunities for service and product enhancements to facilitate a reduction in system down times and time taken for product upgrades.

  • Identify systems and processes which can be automated to stream-line engineering and support functions.

  • Manage vendor relationships driving improvements and awareness of all engineering and operational issues.

  • Management of additional data security tools with additional SMEs providing engineering expertise.

  • Contribute to Citi’s Data Protection Standard as it relates to owned technologies, linking with key stakeholders to ensure standards meet information security and the business needs.

What we will need from you:

  • Experience of data security within large institutions.

  • Proven experience in the following domains: information security, data protection.

  • Proven experience in the data tokenization domain.

  • Knowledge of the tokenization vendor Protegrity would be preferable.

  • In-depth knowledge of vault-less tokenization architectures.

  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to embrace change.

  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills.

  • Capacity to manage multiple activities in parallel.

  • Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data driven and results oriented.

  • Thinks strategically but stays on top of tactical execution.

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
