This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of remote telework with the requirement to be on-site at least one day per week on average. Occasional adjustments may be made based on team needs or project demands.
What You'll Do
- Lead or contribute to strategic, high-impact machine learning and data science projects that drive product improvements and support informed business decisions.
- Develop, validate, and continuously improve ML models using structured and unstructured data.
- Identify, clean, and prepare relevant datasets while ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
- Apply large language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA) for specific use cases, using techniques such as RAG or instruction tuning.
- Stay current with advancements in ML, generative AI, and NLP, applying emerging methods when appropriate.
- Help promote and eventually act as an advocate for data-driven decision making. Foster a healthy data culture by mentoring colleagues and running knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Promote the importance of data science within the organization.
- Contribute to enhancements of the data stack and support agile delivery processes.
What You Have
- Proven experience developing supervised and unsupervised ML models.
- Experience with generative models, including RAG, prompt engineering, instruction tuning, etc., and evaluating outputs for bias, safety, and relevance.
- Proficient in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL, with a solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data science, data analytics, or related roles.
- Passion for social media data and digital behavior analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
