The Data Engineer is a highly skilled data management specialist in charge of developing and implementing complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. They will work closely with senior data engineers, architects, and product owners to ensure high-quality delivery of Data Assets.
This role will operate on a hybrid model, with at least 2 days working in the office per week.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Solid Python, SQL and Spark skills
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP), Data Lake technologies, and Data Warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
- Experience with data ETL tools and BI solutions (e.g., Airflow, PowerBI)
- Experience with data quality and governance tools (e.g., Atlan, Monte Carlo)
- Solid knowledge of data modelling concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical expertise
- Contribute to technical discussions, ensuring alignment with broader data initiatives
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
- Develop and implement complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses
- Collaborate with senior data engineers, data architects, business analysts, product owners and other roles to understand data requirements and design robust solutions
- Develop and maintain data quality standards and processes
- Document data pipelines and data warehouse solutions, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure uptime and reliability
- Stay up-to-date on the latest data management technologies and best practices
- Identify and implement new data management technologies and tools to improve efficiency and performance
Desirable Experience:
- Master's in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Scaled Agile planning and execution.
