Team / Role Overview

The Custody Product Manager is a strategic position responsible for driving the core Custody product function with focus on Transaction Management and in specific Clearing and T+1 implementation globally, aiming for competitive advantage and commercial outcomes. This role champions key product priorities, including AI-powered solutions, data-driven innovation and controls & governance. Collaboration with sales teams, Products across Investor Services teams, Operations, and Technology is essential to jointly achieve shared business goals.

What you will do:

  • T+1  implementation globally with focus on Clearing: Ensure alignment across T+1 and FMI driven projects. Facilitate ongoing engagement with cluster, local product and sales teams to support seamless information flow and coordinated delivery of T+1 initiatives.
  • AI-powered solutions & Data-Driven Innovation: Champion product differentiation and service enhancement by actively leveraging advanced data analytics, digital capabilities, and emerging technologies throughout the trade lifecycle.
  • Client Experience & Value Delivery: Oversee the delivery of superior client experience and communication strategies, executing compelling client value propositions to secure and solidify Citi's leadership position in Custody.
  • Market Change Management & Influence: Lead market change initiatives through proactive advocacy, direct regulatory engagement, and by effectively representing the firm's and client's voice to Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) and Regulators.
  • Risk Management: Proactively assess and manage product-related risks, safeguarding Citi's reputation and assets.

What we'll need from you

  • Custody Expertise: 5 years of experience in custody in complex, global, and matrixed organizations.
  • Digital & Data Expertise with an AI-First Mindset in Financial Services: Data driven and a proactive AI-first mindset to identify and apply solutions within custody operations and client experience.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acuity: Demonstrated ability to drive commercial outcomes through forward-looking product innovation roadmaps, executing client value propositions across positioning, segmentation, pricing, and digital delivery channels.
  • Risk & Compliance Ownership: Adept at assessing and managing product-related risks, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding the firm's reputation, clients, and assets.
  • Added qualification / certifications in areas like AI or Data Science is recommended
