We are looking for a Credit Controller specializing in Accounts Receivable to join our Global Finance team in Helsinki/London for a 3-month fixed term contract.

This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to strengthen our Global Finance team, and you will play a key part in evolving our customer facing communications and cash collection activities.
Your main responsibilities will be to help our customers around the world with their finance related questions, driving overdues management, communicating with customers and liaising with our Customer Success teams regarding accounts receivable status.
You will also provide accurate data and financial reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
As a Credit Controller at Smartly, you will...- Proactively work with customers to collect payments and solve issues
- Be in charge of multiple geographic regions for cash collection reporting and analysis
- Contact clients via phone, email, and written communication to chase outstanding balances
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to resolve payment disputes and maintain positive client relationships.
- Prepare weekly and monthly debtors’ reports for management
- Recommend accounts for escalation to legal or external debt collection when necessary.
- Contribute to process improvements to optimize collections and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Have several years of relevant work experience in finance/credit control
- Have solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
- Have strong communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Are result oriented, comfortable working in collaborative setting, and an interest in continuously automating and improving processes
- Are fluent in using MS Office (Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets)
- Are comfortable using English in a work context
- Experience in using Netsuite is considered an advantage
- Experience in using Salesforce is considered an advantage
- Experience working in customer service is considered an advantage
- Are able to work in a hybrid capacity from our Helsinki/London office a minimum of 3 days a week
- Are able to work during EMEA/NORAM hours, as applicable
