Job Title:                             Corporate Security Officer

Department:                        Operations

Reporting to:                       Site Manager

Responsible for:                 Front of House Security, Access Control & Incident Escalation

  • Location: Dublin 2 (Corporate Client Site)

  • Schedule: Shift Based (Day Shifts / Corporate Operating Hours)

  • Role Type: Permanent

  • Remuneration: €19.00 per hour (rising to €20.00 per hour upon completion of 6 months)

Position Summary:

The Corporate Security Officer serves as the primary frontline security representative within a modern corporate office environment. Positioned at front-of-house (FoH) reception areas, access turnstiles, and entry points, the officer balances exceptional client-facing customer service with vigilant access control enforcement. This role is strictly focused on maintaining site-level physical safety, visitor management, and access integrity. While operating as part of the broader Security Operations umbrella, this role collaborates with our Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC), serving as an on-site operational partner that escalates critical incidents and receives secondary system dispatches when required.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House & Customer Service:

  • Deliver a welcoming, executive-level customer service experience to all employees, clients, contractors, and visitors entering the facility.

  • Manage visitor registration platforms, verify identity credentials, issue temporary access passes, and enforce nondisclosure agreement (NDA) protocols.

  • Maintain complete visibility over reception entryways, turnstiles, and lobby traffic to prevent tailgating and unauthorized entry.

  • Assist internal personnel and guests with day-to-day inquiries while maintaining high standards of decorum, professionalism, and site safety.

Physical Access Control & Site Security:

  • Monitor and manage local physical access points, speed gates, turnstiles, barrier arms, and secure floor doors.

  • Conduct regular physical safety inspections and foot patrols across corporate common areas, executive floors, stairwells, and perimeter points.

  • Verify contractor work permits, vendor authorizations, and high-risk work sign-ins prior to granting building access.

  • Report technical access control hardware faults (e.g., card reader failures, turnstile gate errors) through standard site maintenance channels.

Inter-Departmental Interface (Sec Ops Escalation & RSOC Handshake):

  • Maintain a professional departmental boundary with the Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC), operating strictly as the local on-site responder to RSOC-issued notifications.

  • Respond locally to physical security notifications or alarms (e.g., door held open, emergency exit activations) forwarded by the RSOC team.

  • Provide real-time, on-scene visual verification and verbal status updates back to the RSOC during localized incidents or system alerts.

  • Forward local incident logs and field intelligence to the RSOC for centralized logging and regional tracking.

Emergency Response & Reporting:

  • Respond immediately to localized site emergencies, fire alarm activations, medical situations, or aggressive behavior.

  • Assist site management and emergency wardens during building evacuations, shelter-in-place events, or localized crises.

  • Complete accurate, detailed Incident Reports (IRs) for line management and client review following any safety breach or site event.

  • Undertake reasonable and lawful operational tasks as directed by site leadership.

Skills and Qualifications

Certification / Licensing:

  • Must hold a valid, current Private Security Authority (PSA) License (Door Supervisor or Static Guard).

  • Valid First Aid Responder (FAR) or Occupational First Aid certification is highly desirable.

Technical Skills & Software Exposure:

  • Proficiency with digital Visitor Management Systems (VMS) (e.g., Envoy, SwipedOn).

  • Experience operating physical access control entry systems and barrier turnstiles.

  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email applications).

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • High-level customer service skills suited for executive corporate and technology-hub environments.

  • Clear written and verbal English communication (Minimum B2 level) for clear reporting and radio etiquette.

  • Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills to handle non-compliant visitors or security breaches assertively and professionally.

Core Attributes:

  • High standard of personal grooming, uniform presentation, and professional conduct.

  • High situational awareness and active observation skills.

  • Ability to work independently at the front desk while maintaining collaborative alignment with site management and partner Sec Ops departments.

Further Information:

The company will ensure that you:

  • Receive full corporate uniform and standard security tools to perform your role effectively.

  • Are provided with comprehensive site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clear escalation matrices.

  • Have access to QQI-certified training, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and structured career development paths within the wider Security Operations team.
