Position: Transaction Manager (“TM”)

Reports to: Sector Team Head, Corporate Sector Lending
 

The Role:
The position is designated as TM for a portfolio of clients within Corporate Sector Lending, part of Wholesale Banking. The corporate clients comprising the portfolio currently include multi-national corporations across various regions including the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Switzerland and the Nordic region.

The TM is responsible for:
• Performing research on companies and preparing credit reports;
• Maintaining a comprehensive credit file;
• Monitoring of credit quality and undertaking annual reviews;
• Making presentations to senior management in respect of credit proposals;
• Loan documentation due dilligence;
• Monitoring covenant compliance;
• Determining (and reviewing) the key contact points for clients (transactions).
The TM should also be aware of:
• the overall level of account activity;

• relevant environmental changes (e.g. regulatory, fiscal, business, financial markets, etc.) which impact the clients (transactions) comprising the portfolio.
Experience:
• Degree (or Masters) in Finance/Accountancy or related area;
• Minimum 4-5 years experience in corporate credit analysis;
• Formal / informal bank credit training to advanced level;
• Working knowledge of internationally syndicated loans and capital markets transactions;
• Experience in the documentation and due diligence process involved in transaction execution;
• General working knowledge of all corporate banking products, but above all an aptitude to quickly pick up product skills.

Skills Required:

• Report writing;
• Numerical ability;
• Presentation skills;
• Computer literacy, including word processing, advanced spreadsheet and presentational software;
• Negotiations skills;
• Portfolio and time management skills in view of the multi-task function with competing and often conflicting demands;
• Language requirements: French, Spanish or German languages would be an advantage.
