We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.

About your role:

As Corporate Affairs Manager, you’ll play an important role in protecting and enhancing the organisation’s reputation, aligning communications with strategic business goals, and building strong stakeholder relationships. You’ll support the delivery of integrated communications, public affairs, media relations, and corporate responsibility initiatives.

This main purpose of this role is to help shape and implement strategies that elevate the company’s profile, support regulatory engagement, and ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all audiences.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Media & Public Relations

  • Lead day-to-day press office operations, including developing reactive media responses and securing internal approvals.
  • Manage the PR agency to ensure effective delivery of media strategies.
  • Act as a key media contact, proactively identifying opportunities and managing relationships with journalists and media outlets.
  • Oversee the PR calendar, ensuring alignment with business strategy, marketing plans, and commercial objectives.
  • Brief and manage communications and media monitoring agencies to ensure consistency with strategic priorities.

Campaigns & Communications

  • Support the development and execution of PR and communications campaigns that promote the company, its investments, and its products and services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure campaigns reflect a strong understanding of the energy industry and competitive landscape.
  • Review and refine company communications, including call centre scripts, to ensure clarity and alignment with messaging.

Project & Content Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of key communications projects, working with copywriters, designers, and agencies.
  • Manage the Corporate Affairs LinkedIn calendar, from strategy and copywriting to content production with designers and videographers.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for cross-team coordination, ensuring alignment and information sharing across Irish and UK teams.
  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts, including media, government, and industry bodies.

Issues & Reputation Management

  • Serve as an escalation point for reputational risks, developing messaging and coordinating responses with internal teams and third parties.

Budget & Administrative Support

  • Manage the day-to-day corporate affairs budget, including PO processing, quarterly reviews, and forecasting support.
  • Provide general team support, including meeting coordination, supplier management, and event material preparation.

Here's what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in PR or communications in a large commercial organisation or agency
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification in PR, marketing, or journalism
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across multiple teams
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders
