About this job:
This role is based in our PartnerRe Dublin office. PartnerRe's Corporate Accounting Team is a centralized team which provides support to the growing business of the Company and its associated increased reporting requirements. The Corporate Accounting Team is primarily made up of experienced accountants and the team is very committed and hard-working and supports the Company’s finance function globally. As an ACCA Approved Employer, we provide a working environment that is supportive to ACCA members and trainees.
About the role:
- Contribute to the Group USGAAP/FRGAAP and other local STAT/GAAP ledgers quarterly closing process, including general ledger population, account analysis and reconciliations.
- Work with various teams in the preparation of Group reporting and global regulatory quarterly/annual returns and financial statements across the PartnerRe Group.
- Support the completion of internal and external audits.
- Support the Corporate Accounting managers in projects that may arise.
Qualifications
About you:
Education and Designations:
- Part Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
Experience:
- 2 + years’ experience in Financial Services is required.
- Experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance/Finance industry an advantage.
- Experience with accounting in multicurrency, multi-entity and intercompany transactions are an advantage.
- Experience with Cash flow is an advantage
- Experience working with multinational grade accounting systems an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Accounting experience to handle double entry bookings.
- Proficient Excel / MS Office skills.
- Exposure to a Financial Statements preparation process.
- Experience with a GAAP monthly/quarterly closing process.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, highly organized and capable of working in an international and culturally diverse environment, with a high degree of autonomy.
- Flexible with a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.
- Openness for continuous improvement and can-do attitude.
- Fluency in English is required.
