The purpose of the Contract Analyst role is to own and lead the work on the contract renewals within the Vendor Management team for the technology department. The Contracts Analyst will work closely with relevant stakeholders to achieve on-time renewals and the most favourable terms and conditions for all parties. This role works with several vendors to complete contract renewal, sits within the Vendor Management team and works very closely with them.
Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's North Dublin office one day per week.
Required skills:
- 3rd level degree in a relevant relation discipline
- Extensive experience in the MS 365 suite
- Experience with vendor contracts and service agreements
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
- Resolves problems autonomously and/or through a support team
- Able to keep sensitive data confidential
- Team player
- Highly organised
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborative style
- Has an interest for learning and self-development
- Proven ability to work successfully under strain and commitment to producing high quality output to tight deadlines
- Exemplary communication and documentation skills with the ability to present facts, plans, training clearly and objectively
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to manage effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally
- Self-motivated with a high level of forward-thinking, hands-on approach (roll up sleeves), commitment and flexibility
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Act as the single point of contact on the contract renewals to ensure timely completion of same
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders (internal & external) and align on steps for contract renewal and take actions accordingly
- Understand the current contract Terms & Conditions and ensure relevant updates as needed
- Negotiate cost savings and efficiencies with contracts (as applicable)
- Own the contract repository database and evolve ways of working/processes in conjunction with the wider Vendor Management team
- Look for process improvement opportunities and work to implement them
- Act as a back up for Vendor Management team members for time off
Desirable skills & competencies:
- Project/Programme Management qualification – e.g. PMP, Prince
