About the role:

As a Business Analyst Consultant at YLD, you'll be part of a client team driving an Energy Transformation program. We're looking for someone curious, passionate, driven, and enthusiastic, skilled in mapping complex business processes and translating energy market requirements into clear technical specifications. You're also an effective communicator and a strong team player, thriving in a fast-paced environment as you manage data migration and prepare systems.

You'll coordinate with Product Managers, Engineering, third-party suppliers, and domain experts to define clear specifications, bridging legacy processes and the new platform so complex energy setups are properly supported, and keeping the team informed with the customer and business insight they need to contribute effectively.

Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of the UK Energy market;
  • Strong track record writing clear specifications and user acceptance criteria;
  • Experience documenting technical requirements: data mapping, system integrations, logic flows;
  • Delivery experience on large-scale system transformation or data migration programs under tight deadlines;
  • Proactive risk management skills;
  • Confidence facilitating input from Engineering, Design, and Commercial teams;
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
You should apply if you are:
  • Able to influence cross-functional partners with well-reasoned business cases;
  • Self-motivated and proactive;
  • A strong communicator, able to translate technical ideas into business-friendly language;
  • Detail-oriented and analytical;
  • Pragmatic, balancing innovation with practical technology choices;
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional settings;
  • A genuine believer in diversity and fairness.
What you’ll get in return:
  • The chance to work with a forward-thinking, ethical, and fun group of people and to develop and grow your skills in a fast-moving business
Our typical recruitment process:
  • 1st Interview with a Talent Partner (30/45 mins)
  • Technical Interview with our Head of Design (1h30)
  • Final chat with our Client Partner (30/45 mins)
