Tech that takes you places

We’re CarTrawler, the global travel tech company behind seamless connections between people, places and possibilities. From powering car rental to creating smarter ways to move, we make travel smoother for millions worldwide. Our culture is built on curiosity, collaboration and craic where every idea counts and every journey matters. Ready to make an impact? Let’s go places together.
We are looking for an experienced Content Designer to join Product & Design and shape how CarTrawler communicates within our products, with a particular focus on localised, multi-language experiences.

Sitting at the intersection of product content and localisation, you will:
Design and refine content for key product journeys (for example, search, booking and rental conditions).
Ensure copy is clear, consistent and translation-ready, so it can be localised accurately and efficiently.
Help operationalise our content strategy and support delivery of our product and customer experience goals.

You will work closely with Product, Design, Engineering and Commercial/Partner teams, acting as a go-to expert for product copy and localisation and helping improve the standards and workflows that keep it consistent across markets and partners.

Your Journey starts here!

What you’ll do as a Content Designer

  • Core Content Design Responsibilities
  • Design and write clear, concise, user-centred product content for key journeys and UI surfaces.
  • Create content that is structured and translation-ready, and partner with Translations to ensure it works across priority languages.
  • Maintain and apply the product style guide, terminology glossary and content patterns.
  • Audit and improve existing content across our systems, using data, research and experiments to refine and optimise copy.
  • Localisation & Translation Operations
  • Shape and improve how product teams brief localisation, including templates, checklists and context expectations.
  • Prepare and structure source text, clarify variables/placeholders and add contextual notes before content goes to translation.
  • Support ongoing content management across our product content systems (for example, structure, naming and clean-up of outdated content).
  • Partner with translation providers, providing structured context and strengthening LQA feedback loops into style guide and glossary updates.
  • Process, Systems & Enablement
  • Embed content into upstream product, partner and commercial initiatives, including partner-facing messaging and merchandising strategies.
  • Help teams plan and communicate content changes, especially when they impact multiple languages or partners.
  • Act as a go-to content and localisation partner for product teams, providing light coaching on writing clear, translation-ready copy.
  • Contribute to guardrails and workflows for AI-assisted copywriting tools powered by our style guide and glossary.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Third-level qualification in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, UX/HCI, Digital Media or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • A portfolio of relevant content design / UX writing work is required (for example, product flows, UI copy, content patterns, before/after examples and experiments or A/B tests you’ve contributed to).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, content strategy, copywriting or a related role, preferably within a digital product environment; experience in the travel or travel technology industry is a plus.
  • Proven ability to design and write clear, concise and user-centred product content, demonstrated via a strong portfolio.
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams alongside designers, product managers and engineers, and understanding of UX principles and user journeys.
  • Experience collaborating with localisation/translation teams and using TMS/CMS tools, including providing clear context for translators.
  • Comfortable using data and research (quantitative and qualitative) to inform content decisions and prioritisation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
