Title and Summary

Content Designer (Senior Specialist)

Overview
Mastercard are seeking a Content Designer to partner with our product designers, product managers, researchers and go-to-market teams.
Our customers include issuing banks, merchants, and payment service providers implementing our real-time payment solutions. We are building products to enable digital payment experiences at scale such as Click to Pay and Secure Card on File (Tokenization). Our mission is to make payments simpler, more efficient, and more secure. Our customers, and our customers' experience, are multi-faceted and globally diverse.
The role involves planning and creating the content for products, continually improving that content, and evolving our voice and content standards.
Role
Working alongside a cross-functional team to build and enhance Mastercard’s core digital payment experiences, ensuring content is consistent, on-brand, and meets customer and business needs.
Planning, writing, editing and testing content including language used in the product interface (CTAs, labels etc), product education materials, product names, navigation (including information architecture) and other content.
Support research efforts to understand product comprehension and usability and work with designers and product managers to incorporate feedback into product design.
Working with our reporting and optimization team to analyze and understand content performance and use data to seek opportunities to optimize product performance.
Ensuring all content is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Working with the design team to maintain design and content infrastructure.

About you
We’re looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience:
You’ll be able to showcase previous content work. Please include samples that show a breadth of experience across a range of content types. You may wish to show us content you've created for user interfaces, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional emails, style guides or product launch content.
You'll have experience of both high-level content design work (e.g. information architecture, content strategy) and low-level (writing microcopy). This role involves both and you’ll need to know how to combine this to create great end-to-end experiences.
You’ll have solid research skills – comfortable interviewing people and gathering feedback via surveys or doing IA type research (e.g. card sorting, affinity mapping). We expect content designers to be able to do research to assess comprehension.
You'll have a view, based on your previous experience, on what works and what doesn’t when it comes to consumer facing products and how that impacts product interaction design.
You’ll need to be a great communicator and cross-team collaborator, working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Proven experience delivering a high standard of output in a large enterprise.
