The Opportunity

We are transforming the Smartbox Marketing department and building systems that connect our data, our content, and our customers. We are looking for a Content Automation Engineer—a builder who wants to solve our content production and scaling with code.

You will be building lightweight, high-impact automations that save hundreds of hours for our internal teams and automating content creation. You are the builder who connects the pipes between our data, our AI models, and our marketing channels.

What You’ll Do

·      Automate Content Creation: Write scripts and build API connectors and link our internal data sources (PIM, DAM) with external AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Midjourney APIs)

·      Develop Internal Tools: Build lightweight internal apps to help our marketing work faster.

·      Data & Insights: Build automated social media trend data feeds for local market insights.

·      Infrastructure Liaison: Work with our core Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure our marketing automations are secure, compliant, and deployed correctly in our cloud environment.

·      Rapid Prototyping: adopt a "ship to learn" mentality. Build MVPs quickly to test a marketing hypothesis, scale what works, and decommission what doesn't.

Qualifications & Skills Required

·       Strong Development Background: Proven experience in Python development with a deep understanding of distributed systems.

·       AI Native: Practical experience working with LLM APIs, vector databases, and modern automation platforms. You stay on the forefront of the latest models and industry trends.

·       Marketing Mindset: You understand that code is a means to an end. You care about the business outcome—time saved, brand consistency, and content quality.

·       Problem Solver: You love taking a messy manual process (e.g., "we copy-paste this into Excel 500 times") and turning it into a one-click script.
