Frontier Economics is an economics consultancy that tackles the big questions facing governments, businesses and society. We help our clients to analyse and understand their markets and to formulate strategies based on sound economics. The methods and models we use are often complex, but our advice is always succinct, clear and honest

The company has grown rapidly since it was founded over 25 years ago and currently has around 500 staff working across seven European offices (London, Cologne, Dublin, Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Madrid). The company is employee-owned and has a strong culture of openness and employee engagement.

We are enthusiastic about engaging in speculative conversations with talented individuals who are interested in joining our organisation. We have six distinct practices spanning various industries and sectors, including Public Policy, Strategy, Competition, Energy, Transport & Water, and Telecommunications (you can learn more about each practice here). Although specific job openings may not be available currently, we value the opportunity to connect with consultants who are passionate about these fields and eager to contribute their expertise. Whether you are interested in any of our practices or our multiple office locations, we encourage you to reach out and express your interest in joining our team.

We believe in building relationships with prospective applicants and fostering a proactive dialogue, as we recognise that unforeseen opportunities may arise. Therefore, if you are an experienced economist with relevant skills and a desire to work in any of our practice areas, we would be delighted to speak with you and explore potential future collaborations.

We are interested in talking to candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Analysis & Problem solving skills: Experienced economists who can accurately deliver work that has been scoped by others using a range of techniques.

  • Communication skills: Consultants who can communicate successfully and professionally to clients and colleagues.

  • Work Management skills: Organised individuals who understand their own and colleagues’ roles on projects consistently deliver work scoped by others.

  • Client relationship skills: An awareness of how to work professionally with clients in a range of situations.

  • Contribution to Frontier values: A genuine interest in identifying and developing opportunities to make Frontier a better place to work.

In addition to stimulating and thought-provoking project work, we offer numerous benefits to support you inside and outside of work. All employees have access to numerous Learning & Development opportunities including ongoing Career Development Reviews with the support of an allocated Mentor.

We understand the importance of work/life balance and offer flexible working arrangements including working from home. In addition we provide 28 days annual leave with the option to purchase an additional 10.

Frontier is entirely owned by its employees. As Shareholders, we encourage everyone to put forward their views. Not only do we influence how the company is run but we choose to distribute as much of our profits as is prudently possible through bonuses. In addition we offer a highly rewarding salary.

Successful candidates will have the ability to apply a range of microeconomic tools to policy and business issues. Therefore you should have at least a Bachelor and a Masters degree with a main focus in economics or another highly analytical/quantitative discipline. You will also be able to communicate complex economic arguments in non-technical language, and to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues. It is desirable for candidates to have prior economic consulting experience in competition economics.

Should you have any questions or would like any additional information please email [email protected]

We are looking forward to receiving your application!

Please be aware that speculative applications will be reviewed on a weekly basis
