Summary

The Account Advisory team supports Guidewire’s customers throughout their journey to help them achieve greater value from their investment in Guidewire Software. Our team conducts business optimization engagements to functionally assess the utilization of the installed Guidewire platform to provide recommendations of how to address observed challenges and pain-points. Our team also offers product demonstrations to help drive adoption of features and functions and to help close functional gaps observed during business optimization engagements. In time, expanding knowledge into other consultative offerings may be required.

Role Expectations

This is a high profile, customer facing role where the individual will lead, support and advise on business optimization engagements (primarily within EMEA but globally as well). This role will be integral in advising our customers in how to maximise value from their transformations and migrations to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), as well as ongoing value delivery. Due to the strategic nature of these efforts, the individual must be analytical, curious, creative and personable. In addition to contributing to business optimization engagements, the ideal candidate will bring additional expertise in either their ability to influence technical solutioning critical to value delivery or credibility in value realization consulting principles and governance. Finally, this individual will contribute strategically to initiatives deemed important to the Account Advisory team and the broader Solution Advisory organization.

  • Is sensitive and responsive to the needs of the customer and our internal stakeholders.

  • Credibly leverages best practices gained from Guidewire, our customers and the industry;

  • Present findings in a form that is both visually appealing and intellectually compelling;

  • Continuously drives strong collaboration with, but not limited to, Customer Success, Sales, Solution Advisory, Services and Product ultimately empowering our colleagues to be trusted advisors;

  • Works diligently to nurture our customer’s success that drives customer loyalty through high-quality assessments that drive actionable outcomes;

In addition to leading and supporting engagements, responsibilities may include the following: 
  • Conduct introductory conversations with customers considering Guidewire Cloud and/or a product upgrade to introduce value methodology concepts and methodology;
  • Manage customer relationships through and beyond their upgrade and cloud transition, with a focus on building enduring partnerships;

  • Advance the state of the Account Advisory team by continuously improving the methodology and tool-sets based on customer experiences.

  • Promote our consultative services externally via Guidewire marketing events and public conferences.

This role will require 25%-50% travel.

Required attributes: 
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, functional / technical sales consulting, or professional services roles with a focus on uses/application of insurance / SaaS  platforms. 

  • Functional knowledge of the Guidewire applications and/or deep insurance industry expertise with high comfort in discussing workflow and financial concepts.

  • Exceptional executive presence, communication (both oral and written) skills, and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable leading large group discussions with senior stakeholders.

  • High analytical aptitude and consultative mind-set to gently challenge customers in making key strategic decisions that will be some of the building blocks of their transformation.

  • Proven ability to create visually compelling presentation material

  • Ability to think very quickly "on your feet" and make directional adjustments accordingly.

  • Energy and passion to help build and grow our consultative efforts within Guidewire.

Desired attributes: 
  • Experience in one of the Continental European P&C markets.

  • P&C financial fluency or technical proficiency of transformation programs

  • Experience with large scale cloud deployments and development of the associated strategy.

  • Experience selling and/or implementing enterprise software. 

  • Experience with organizational change management practices. 

  • Previous workshop facilitation experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
