Based in any of our Dublin offices, Howden Ireland are delighted to have a vacancy as an Account Executive for our Commercial Film & Media book of business that will be an integral part of our wider Commercial team.

About You:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Account Executive will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with clients in the film, television, media, and creative industries, supporting their insurance requirements across the full policy lifecycle. The role will involve working closely with producers, production companies, studios, and media organisations to design and deliver tailored commercial insurance solutions.

The successful candidate will support new business development, manage renewals, and provide expert advice on specialist film and media insurance risks while ensuring a high level of service delivery and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients within the film, television, production, and media sectors.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business activities and risk exposures.

  • Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure service standards and long-term relationship development.

  • Support the identification and conversion of new opportunities within the film and media industry.

  • Prepare and present tailored insurance proposals to prospective clients.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider commercial team to grow the media insurance portfolio.

  • Manage the renewal process for client accounts, ensuring competitive placement and coverage adequacy.

  • Liaise with insurers to negotiate policy terms, premiums, and conditions.

  • Provide advice on appropriate cover including specialist film and media policies.

  • Assist in structuring insurance programmes relevant to film and media production

  • Build strong relationships with insurers underwriting film and media risks.

  • Obtain and compare quotations and present recommendations to clients.

  • Ensure all activities comply with Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements and internal compliance procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM/broker management system.

  • Ensure all policy documentation and client communications are handled efficiently.

About You:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience within commercial insurance, ideally within a brokerage environment.

  • Excellent technical product knowledge and knowledge of Commercial insurance market.

  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients, particularly handling policy renewals and addressing client inquiries.

  • Exposure to film, media, entertainment, or creative industry risks is advantageous but not essential.

  • CIP qualification essential.

  • Knowledge of specialist film and production insurance products would be beneficial.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts.

  • Ability to analyse client risks and provide suitable insurance solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
