About us:

Amach is an industry-leading technology driven company with headquarters located in Dublin and remote teams in UK and Europe.

Our blended teams of local and nearshore talent are optimised to deliver high quality and collaborative solutions.

Established in 2013, we specialise in cloud migration and development, digital transformation including agile software development, DevOps, automation, data and machine learning…

Amach is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead enterprise-level cloud transformation, release governance, and operations functions within a complex, high-availability technology environment.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Release Management, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of cloud platforms that underpin core business systems. This role will shape the organisation’s cloud strategy, drive automation and modernisation, and lead large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, reliable technology services.

This position will suit a proven technology leader with a strong background in cloud operations, agile delivery, and large-scale transformation. You will manage cross-functional teams, drive automation and CI/CD practices, and partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient cloud and release solutions.

This role will operate on a hybrid model, with at least 2 days working in the office per week.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior IT leadership roles with responsibility for cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or software delivery.
  • Demonstrated success delivering enterprise cloud transformation programmes.
  • Proven track record in establishing and optimising CI/CD pipelines and automated release management processes.
  • Strong background in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Experience managing large-scale teams and building high-performing, collaborative engineering cultures.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Sound understanding of infrastructure security, governance, and compliance within regulated environments.
  • Experience defining technology strategy, driving innovation, and delivering measurable operational improvements.

Key responsibilities & duties include:

  • Lead the design, delivery, and management of cloud infrastructure platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Own the enterprise release management function: define and maintain best practice processes for software build, deployment, and release governance.
  • Oversee the development and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (AWS DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) to streamline delivery.
  • Drive cloud migration and modernisation initiatives, enabling transformation from legacy on-premise systems to cloud-native architectures (AWS).
  • Provide leadership to large multi-disciplinary teams (including DevOps engineers, cloud infrastructure specialists, release managers, and automation specialists), building capability through mentoring, training, and structured career development.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align infrastructure and release strategies with business priorities, ensuring alignment to compliance and security standards.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs and SLAs for infrastructure and release delivery, ensuring continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including partner selection, performance management, and contract negotiations.
  • Champion agile and DevOps methodologies, embedding a culture of continuous delivery, collaboration, and automation.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for infrastructure evolution, automation maturity, and platform optimisation.
