Position Summary

Why join our team?
The Channel Marketing Manager role sits within the MX division of Samsung Ireland. The MX division is responsible for launching smartphones, tablets, computing and wearable devices.
The role will report into the Head of Marketing for MX and on a day to day basis will be liaising with a number of key retailers & operators.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to create a level of excellence within the marketing function, by creating and implementing a range of launch & promotional activities which will ensure that the Samsung brand stands above its competition in the Irish market, with particular focus on the Smartphone, Tablet, Wearable and computing channels

•    The main area of work within this role will be handling the channel marketing with our key operators (Vodafone, Three, Eir) and electrical retailers (Harvey Norman, DID, Soundstore) – building a working relationship with the marketing teams within these companies and ensuring the Samsung products / brand is marketed inline with guidance.
•    Working with sales account director of these channels aligning on targets / focus area’s quarter ahead.
•    Communicating budgets and workign with the channel marketing teams to ensure they plan to this budget and have all they need to make those plans happen
•    Targets will deployed on a quarterly basis and align with commercial and marketing targets as set by the business.
•    Support the development of the channel marketing activities for mobile operators and electrical stores ensuring that a comprehensive marketing plan is in place and implemented to support the Irish business for all products within these stores.
•    Work closely with the Account Managers (sales teams) to ensure customer targets in 2024 are achieved.
•    Understand the diverse customer requirements and opportunities by developing and maintaining strong relationships in the customer organisations.
•    Collaborate and work closely with the CMM team in SEUK to ensure Ireland is included in all business updates.
•    Support channel Sales and the Product Managers with value added marketing activity.

•    Ensure our brand is displayed at its highest level at all times and maintaining that strong brand presence through to our product displays in both operator and electrical retailers.
•    Be aware of and gather information of all electrical retail propositions and ATL campaigns as well as our competitor launches and promotions reporting them back internally.
•    Work closely with the Marketing Lead to allocate co-op marketing budgets
•    Work with the Marketing Lead to ensure return on investment is gathered on all campaigns to ensure the budget requirements are met across all product categories.
•    Handle the NERP system for raising all POs necessary within the Channel Mobile, Tablet and Wearable budgets.
•    Opportunity to gain experience by supporting the Marketing Lead with Media planning, PR, Events – when relevant to the channel operators.

Basic requirements:
•    3rd Level Education in Marketing or equivalent
•    Knowledge of the Mobile Industry
•    Full clean drivers licence and car
