Department Overview
Fidelity’s broker-dealers, National Financial and Fidelity Brokerage Services, are required to send significant amounts of detailed trading data to various governmental and industry regulators such as FINRA, the SEC and MSRB. The regulators use this information to monitor brokers, and their customers for front running, insider trading and other illegal trading behaviors. Working with Trading Managers, Operations Staff, Compliance and Technology teams, the Regulatory Reporting group is responsible for the review and analysis of this data and the related business and system flows related to TRF, MSRB, TRACE, OATS, INSITE, Rules 605 and 606, Electronic Blue Sheets, and LOPR to ensure its accuracy and completeness. Issues with regulatory reporting can lead to inquiries, disciplinary action or fines.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field
- You have 3 to 4 years of Capital Markets or Financial Services Experience
- Brokerage industry experience, preferably in trading or middle/back-office operations
- Working knowledge of equity, fixed income, and derivative products
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, brokerage accounting, and securities settlement and custody preferred
The Purpose of Your Role
All analysts in the Regulatory Reporting team are responsible for understanding the core businesses of Fidelity Capital Markets, how the systems work and inter-relate, the various operational flows supporting the different trading desks and the reporting requirements of different products. This understanding is essential to determining the overall accuracy of the reporting provided to the regulators
The Data Analyst works within a team responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of trade and position reporting submitted to the regulators for Fidelity broker dealers, National Financial and Fidelity Brokerage Services. You will be working closely with members of the FCM businesses (trading and operations), FI Compliance and Fidelity Brokerage Technology to identify data points that may have been incorrectly transmitted to the regulators.

The Value You Deliver and Primary Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the Boston Regulatory Reporting team consistent with defined procedures and compliance rules.
- Reconcile trade data between multiple systems.
- Supporting the Compliance team in responding to inquiries, audits and/or exams from regulators in a timely manner. Providing requested data and expertise in determining the accuracy and completeness of the reporting submitted.
- Assist in the development, testing and implementation of new procedures, products, and technologies aimed at improving overall operations.

Able to work Irish Bank holidays and have US Bank holidays off
