Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, Canada, the Business Unit Head (BUH), Dermatological Skincare (DS), is responsible for the overall performance, strategic direction and growth of the Cetaphil and Alastin brands in Canada. The BUH has Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, and will drive innovation in the design and implementation of impactful and innovative strategies to strengthen brand awareness and demand.
This seasoned leader is responsible for fostering a winning and growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, and an ambitious customer- and consumer-centric culture across the DS team and their cross-functional, and global partners. Their contributions as part of the Canadian Leadership Team (CLT) will ensure success in enterprise-level performance, building high-performing teams, and a strong culture where employees feel engaged, empowered, and thrive.
Job Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Cetaphil and Alastin brands that drive brand visibility, market share, and consumer loyalty, focusing on market growth, customer engagement, and consumer sales leadership, by guiding and empowering your team.
- Lead with influencer-first advocacy and digital channel strategies, together with strong key account partnerships that drive demand while simultaneously ensuring flawless execution and pull-through by the team at the retail level (both offline and online)
- Foster a winning and growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, and an ambitious external- (key account, retailer, consumer and HCP) focused culture across the team, and your cross-functional and global partners
- The BUH understands market dynamics identifying risks and opportunities, anticipating future trends,setting an example, and leading by influence.
- Oversee P&L responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met and financial acumen is applied in decision-making processes, while mentoring your team on financial literacy.
- Oversee the efficient and effective execution of critical new launches, ensuring alignment with consumer and HCP marketing strategies through the deployment of robust omnichannel strategies
- Create and track performance against KPIs that demonstrate impact and attainment of objectives, leading your team in setting and achieving these KPIs.
- Set and manage a benchmark of excellence in performance expectations across the BU, attracting and retaining top talent across the industry, by leading by example and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop talent and build a strong talent pipeline for Galderma Canada and the global organization by mentoring and developing future leaders within your team and fostering an inclusive culture that represents the diverse population of people we serve across Canada.
- The BUH plays a critical role as a CLT member in Galderma Canada, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and competitiveness with the ambition to win for consumers, customers, HCPs and Galderma. The CLT is responsible for the co-creation of the strategic vision and operational focus for the Canadian organization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry/corporate policies and standards, leading your team to uphold these standards.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing and sales or related disciplines with a strong preference for some of this experience in consumer packaged goods focused on drug, mass and retail category segments. Additional experience in the luxury skincare or the pharmaceutical environment is an asset.
Experience leading and inspiring teams through change management, leveraging a growth mindset to exceed expectations for the sake of consumers, customers, HCPs, and Galderma.
Experience in building high performing teams who deliver results through prioritization, excellence in execution, and exceptional engagement.
Proven expertise in analytics, and the ability to translate data and insights into actionable, and innovative brand strategies.
High learning agility, proven strength in innovation and someone who embraces technology as an enabler.
Expertise in the marketing funnel, marketing mix modeling, and leading, designing and/or implementing robust omnichannel plans to engage consumers, customers and HCPs. Proficiency in the use of digital/social media (Paid, UCG, Earned) together with KPI and ROI acumen, to leverage all channels available for optimizing consumer engagement and impact.
Strong followership due to the ability to foster trust, ownership, and collaboration, across all team members (direct line and cross-functional).
Demonstrated strength in financial acumen, success in managing a P&L, and leading both, marketing and sales teams, with a focus on delivering performance and engagement simultaneously.
Demonstrated success in commercial planning, launching products and product life cycle management.
A high level of interpersonal and executive-level communication skills is required, with the ability to convey complex concepts or strategies clearly through effective story-telling.
Minimum Honors Bachelor’s degree from university in Marketing, Business or Life Sciences required; MBA is an asset
