About the role

Ready to build a career in tech sales and have the craic while you're doing it? As a Business Development Representative at EdgeTier, you'll accelerate our growth by helping us to expand our customer base. This is a role for someone who enjoys outbound prospecting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by creating real commercial impact rather than simply booking meetings.

What you'll do

As a Business Development Representative at EdgeTier, you’ll:

  • Research and prioritise target accounts aligned to EdgeTier's ideal customer profile by segment and geography.

  • Identify and engage relevant senior stakeholders within target accounts using a multi-channel outbound approach (email, phone, LinkedIn, video)

  • Run high-quality outbound activity with a strong focus on relevance, timing, and personalisation.

  • Initiate and manage live conversations with prospects to uncover genuine customer pain, triggers, and business impact.

  • Clearly articulate EdgeTier's value proposition in plain, outcome-focused language.

  • Qualify prospects effectively and book high-quality meetings that align to agreed sales criteria.

  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align on target accounts, meeting objectives, and opportunity progression.

  • Provide clear context and handoff notes to Account Executives to ensure productive discovery conversations.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date records in HubSpot, including account activity, meeting notes, and qualification details.

  • Actively participate in coaching, call reviews, and enablement sessions to continuously improve performance.

  • Contribute feedback from the market to sales leadership to help refine messaging, ICPs, and outbound strategy.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous sales experience, working against a target, in outbound or door to door sales.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.

  • The confidence needed to engage senior stakeholders and run professional business conversations.

  • The ability to research companies and identify relevant personas, pain points, and triggers.

  • The ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple accounts and priorities.

  • Resilience, a positive attitude, and enjoys working with people.
