Job Description

As a Business Development Representative at Taiga Cloud, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will focus on highlighting leadership in all top of funnel activities in our sales cycle, then touch on the business growth / identifying and pursuit of new business.

This opportunity will enable you to work closely with the sales and marketing teams to engage prospects, qualify leads, and drive revenue. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in business development while working with the latest cutting edge technologies.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential business opportunities, focusing on expanding our client base across various markets, regions, and industries.

  • Prospect Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to successfully reach, engage, and nurture new business prospects.

  • Relationship Building: Assist in fostering relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and helping to create tailored proposals.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to convert Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) into opportunities and support the handover process to the technical onboarding team.

  • Revenue Growth: Support the pursuit of revenue targets by contributing to both short-term and long-term business growth initiatives.

  • Proposal Development: Work closely with bid, commercial, and technical teams to assist in crafting compelling proposals and presentations.

  • CRM Management: Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage and document client interactions and ensure an organized approach to business development.

  • Industry Representation: Represent Taiga Cloud at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to build brand awareness and establish new connections.

  • Contact: reaching out and qualifying potential customers along with arranging appointments and following up on leads.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Previous experience in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally 2-3 years experience in a similar role IAAS/SAAS sales is preferred.

  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and platforms is a plus.

  • Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.

  • Tools: Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

  • Motivation: A proactive and ambitious mindset, eager to learn and contribute to the growth of the business.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
