As Business Development Manager – Cold Form, you will serve as the key leader and authority on Cold Form buildings on behalf of the Shelter organization. This role will work in close collaboration with Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing, IT and other essential functions to translate the strategic opportunity into business outcomes. You will be responsible for setting a clear vision and strategy, as well as driving cross-functional execution that positions CBB as the leader in Cold Form buildings across various go-to-market channels and brands. You will develop and lead the activation of the Cold Form business plan seeing it from inception through to execution as a core component of our Simple Metal Buildings strategy. You will own the financial performance of our Cold Form buildings business, as a contributing driver of our larger Shelter P&L and will work to create and implement the digital roadmap, manufacturing capabilities/needs and pricing/product positioning to ensure that CBB becomes the leader in Cold Form buildings.
This role will report directly to the VP Sales Excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across multiple functions to effectively position Cold Form buildings within the Simple Metal Buildings category
- Develop and implement the Cold Form strategy and business plan to ensure CBB has the right channels and solutions to grow the Cold Form business to $100MM in 3-years
- Identify and own technology solutions (third-party or company owned/developed) from idea to commercialization working with sales, marketing and IT to position/develop ensuring CBB has an advantaged position
- Develop, measure and execute against financial and non-financial Cold Form KPI’s
- Own key vendor relationships, including vendor scorecards, rebates, co-development, positioning, etc.
- Work with Sales, Pricing and Marketing to introduce and appropriately position Cold Form buildings within the Shelter portfolio of Simple Metal Buildings solutions and across each Shelter business
- Develop training programs in conjunction with Sales Enablement and/or key vendors to ensure Cold Form buildings are a well understood solution within the Shelter portfolio across all key stakeholders
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure that CBB is operationally excellent with the right capabilities to effectively manufacture and deliver Cold Form buildings in target markets in support of demand creation
- Responsible for developing and delivering the Cold Form KPI’s and Financial performance in support of our Simple Metal Buildings and Shelter strategies
- Serve as a customer advocate while effectively collaborating with internal, cross-functional teams, including Commercial Operations, Engineering, Estimating, Sales, Marketing, and IT to deliver results
- Collaborate with digital team to define, develop and operate a customer technology solution enabling self-service/ touchless e-Commerce and order automation in support of Cold From business objectives
- Work closely with S&OP team to deliver a positive end-to-end customer experience for Cold Form buildings as measured through competitive lead times and OTIF (on time and in-full).
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to identify win/wins for CBB and its customers
- Demonstrated success as a change agent, with both a willingness and ability to facilitate change and effectively address resistance
- Proven leadership, influence, and collaboration in a matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of marketing concepts and sales process to determine the most impactful product solution
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- CRM proficiency – Microsoft Dynamics preferred
- Skilled at building and interpreting analytics models to drive insights and actions
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
- Highly accountable to multiple stakeholders
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Outcome-driven orientation with a bias for proactive solutioning and ability to see a vision through to execution
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Education/Additional Information:
- 5+ years combined experience in customer facing roles, Consulting, Marketing, Sales or Analytics, ideally in a B2B setting
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; a mix of experience and education will be considered
- MBA degree or equivalent preferred

The US base salary for this role is $120,000 annually - $150,000 annually + 10% STIP (Short Term Incentive Plan) + $750 monthly car allowance + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
