Job Description

Help accelerate the growth of renewable energy across Ireland. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing wind, solar and battery storage opportunities while helping deliver the low-carbon infrastructure needed for a net zero future.

 At EDF power solutions, we’re shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Your work will help us turn that ambition into action – delivering renewable energy solutions that will power homes, businesses and communities for generations to come.

Your expertise will support the development, acquisition and optimisation of renewable energy opportunities, helping projects progress from early development through investment approval, construction and operation while contributing directly to our net zero ambitions.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll help grow and maximise the value of our renewable energy portfolio across wind, solar and battery storage technologies. You’ll lead commercial assessments, investment case development and strategic growth opportunities while working closely with development, technical and finance teams.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you’ll be based at our #Dublin office with hybrid working. Some travel to different locations is required to support project development, stakeholder engagement and portfolio growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence significant investment decisions, lead due diligence activities, manage strategic partnerships, and shape projects that will contribute to a cleaner energy future across Ireland.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can combine commercial insight, financial expertise and strategic thinking to support renewable energy growth opportunities. You’ll be comfortable leading complex projects and working across multidisciplinary teams. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • Understanding of the project lifecycle and key project risks across renewable generation technologies
  • A strong track record of producing and presenting financial appraisals and risk analysis for infrastructure or power generation investments
  • Experience leading skilled multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience leading project due diligence for power generation projects
  • Experience supporting investment decisions, acquisitions or business growth initiatives within the energy or infrastructure sector

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining business development strategies across wind, solar and battery storage technologies
  • Identifying, assessing and progressing renewable energy development, acquisition and partnership opportunities
  • Leading commercial assessments, business case development and investment submissions
  • Coordinating inputs from technical, financial, commercial and development teams
  • Supporting investment approval and Financial Investment Decision processes
  • Undertaking market assessments and commercial analysis for renewable and energy storage projects
  • Developing route-to-market strategies to maximise project value and revenue opportunities
  • Supporting financing activities and project due diligence processes
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships across internal and external teams
  • Helping optimise project value and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle
