Payments is a critical part of the Riot Games ecosystem as it enables our players to purchase the content that they desire in the payment method of their choice.  Our role as a payments team is to ensure all our players who wish to purchase content have access to a payment method to do so, preferably in their local currency.  Your role as a Business Development Manager within the Payments space is to help manage all our global relationships with our Payment Service Providers (PSPs).  You will help to educate them on our player first approach to handling payments as well as work with them to drive the best value for Riot.

This is an 18 month contract based onsite in our Dublin city centre office.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with our Payment Service Provider representatives to review performance and market trends.
  • Work with the Payments and Games teams to identify any new regions or gaps in our existing Payments infrastructure that we should explore.
  • Negotiate commissions and deal structure with our PSPs including both new deals and renewals.
  • Identify new opportunities within the Payments space, assess their potential using financial modeling and present the business case to the Payments leadership teams.
  • Work with legal and tax to review our contracts.
  • Work with Finance to ensure they have all the necessary tools to record revenue.
  • Review our financial performance on a monthly basis with the finance team to identify any areas of opportunity or risk.
  • Work with the pricing team to implement and communicate our pricing strategy within the business.
  • Partner with the engineering team to address emergent issues as well as opportunities and act as their representative with the PSPs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience of the Payments Industry either working within a Payment Service Provider or working with Payments Service Providers as a business/merchant.
  • 2+ years experience working within a multinational where you had responsibilities across multiple regions.
  • 2+ years experience managing external business partners ideally connected to the Payments industry.
  • Experience in building and assessing financial models and business cases.
  • Experience overseeing contracts, budgets, negotiations, and vendor relationships.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!

Let's Thrive Together:

Because together we are better. It's our policy to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and members of Riot Games.

We know that fresh and varied perspectives will make us better at what we do, so however you identify and whatever background you bring with you, we're excited to hear from you. Don't be discouraged if you feel you don't fully meet every single one of the requirements for a particular role, there's always room for growth at Riot. If you spot a role that will make you want to jump out of bed in the morning, we are waiting to hear from you! Don't forget to include a resume. We receive many applications, but we'll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you Dare to Dream and Execute with Excellence.
