Business Development Manager

Location: Austria or Switzerland

Job summary:

With a heavy organic growth orientation, the Business Development Manager will be the primary individual responsible for the overall success of one or more of our largest strategic clients, including end-to-end ownership of client’s revenue and margin growth. The position will drive the Strategic Account strategy collaborating with all of the resources required to succeed.

The Business Development Manager will focus on the German market and location is flexible to either Austria or Switzerland.

Your role in our mission:

  • Deliver sales of Iron Mountain Information Management solutions into new and existing enterprise accounts to increase revenue, growth and quota attainment.

  • Build customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand organizational business objectives and goals.

  • Understands and influences a wide range of customer stakeholders while acting as industry expert to the customer.

  • Continuously prospect to develop net new clients, which includes expanding existing relationships and products of assigned accounts.

  • Maintain a consistent ‘pipeline’ that enables meeting and exceeding quota attainment.

  • Work to collaborate with the customer on net new opportunities and work through Negotiated and RFP sales processes.

Valued skills and experience:

  • To be considered you will have a significant direct solution sales experience, selling business services, business process outsourcing, archiving or similar offering. In addition, candidates possess the following:

  • Strong background and proven experience of strategic new business hunting, sales process and solution selling.

  • The ability to develop solutions that map to customer requirements.

  • Experienced in delivering sales of Technology solutions

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate.

  • Ability to make decisions and think in broad terms, considering the impact to the entire company.

  • Ability to team up effectively at all levels of Iron Mountain and customer personnel (to include C-level) on a wide range of topics and issues.

  • Language skills: German and English (to professional level) + French (nice to have)
