Job Description

As the Business Development Director at Taiga Cloud, part of Northern Data Group, you will report directly to the VP Sales. This role is pivotal in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and driving strategic growth into international markets. You will be responsible for both targeting and pursuing your own prospects, in addition to capturing and converting Sales Qualified Leads that are inbound via our various routes to market. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a driven, confident and experienced Business Development Operator to work with the worlds latest technologies to deliver significant transformation for end customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify new business opportunities, including expansion into new markets, clients, and regions.

  • Develop and implement strategies to successfully reach and engage new business prospects.

  • Foster relationships with new clients, assess their needs, and develop proposals to effectively address their requirements.

  • Close opportunities as won and hand-over to technical onboarding and managed services.

  • Pursue revenue targets, both immediate and long-term, to support business growth.

  • Collaborate closely with bid, commercial, and technical teams to craft compelling proposals.

  • Represent Taiga Cloud/Northern Data at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events.

  • Utilize CRM to manage client interactions efficiently.

  • Stay abreast of advancements in cloud computing, the NDIVIA ecosystem, and GPU technology to maintain a competitive advantage.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role within the tech industry.

  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial concepts related to cloud computing and AI/ML Infrastructure and Platforms and broader ecosystem.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders effectively.

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
