Role Overview: 

The purpose of the Business Development Associate is to develop and obtain maximum sales in accordance with established sales targets for his/her territorial responsibility, as defined by the Business Development Manager. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase the company's revenue and market share. 
  • Through a consultative approach, you will ascertain the consultant's practice's challenges and align those with our services 
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to generating new leads via cold calling, email campaigns, and leveraging current connections and referrals to assist with new business development 
  • Manage your own sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to generate new business, increase client retention, and encourage referrals 
  • Collaborate with the operational teams to ensure that the company's services continue to meet the needs of our clients and the market 
  • Attend conferences or networking events where necessary and work with our team to create and promote company ad campaigns, company brochures, social media communications etc 
  • Create and communicate an effective sales strategy that will continue the growth of company sales and report on territory performance at weekly meetings with the Business Development Manager and other Business Development members 

Requirements & Skills: 

  • Experience in sales or the hunger and self-drive to identify and close sales 
  • Strong motivational and organisational skills 
  • Excellent communication both verbal & written 
  • Strong relationship management skills 
  • Always demonstrates professionalism when representing the company to prospective clients etc 
  • Takes initiative to complete tasks 
  • Incorporates core company values in work on a day-to-day basis 
  • Demonstrates patience 
  • Remains calm under pressure 
  • Willingness to volunteer ideas and improvements for the good of the team 
  • Hospital and insurance relationship experience would be advantageous but is not essential.



Compensation and Benefits

  • Basic Salary of circa €30,000 with OTE of €45,000
  • This is remote within Ireland with quarterly travel to either our Athlone or Dublin Office and other occasional business travel.
