JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is for a Senior Business Development professional with a minimum of three years working in the on-trade.


The Business Developer is responsible for developing Richmond Marketing’s leading premium products portfolio in the On-trade channel. They will be expected to demonstrate good negotiation and presentation skills along with a proven sales record and knowledge of the licensed trade. They should have a strong customer focus and be able to maintain a high level of productivity in all aspects of the role. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Actively market & promote Richmond’s portfolio within the licensed trade.
• Build strong direct & indirect route to market business
• Achievement of value and volume targets
• Execute promotions & visibility within the trade
• Be aware and report on competitor and industry updates.
• Deliver high standards of credit management across customer base.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Must maintain high standards of appearance, behaviour and discipline.
• Adhere to performance appraisal procedures.
• Build and maintain key relationships with On-Trade Sales Manager, Head of On-Trade, Telesales team and the brand 
& marketing teams.
• Have a Strong teamwork focus, ensure full liaison with other team members and departments.
• Any other duties and responsibilities which management deem appropriate from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Candidates must be eligible to drive in the Island of Ireland and have a full clean driver’s licence
• Excellent relationship building, a strong customer focus and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A good level of commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate good negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
