JOB PURPOSE/MISSION/SUMMARY:

The business analyst creates new reports based on business requirements or by identifying problems and opportunities within a company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business goals. They will also maintain and/or enhance current reports or dashboards previously built and supported by the team. This means, this role requires to reviews, analyzes, evaluates and provide solutions to the backend structure and front end reporting tool.

The role will also cover collaborating with cross functional teams, i.e. business and IT teams, in developing initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal & external reporting.

They will also assists with the implementation and support of business information systems in the organization.  

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Understand the project requirements and provide solution (automation, build report, etc) based on business requirement and recommendation.
  • Collect, analyze and visualize data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models.
  • Build and maintains reports and dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and trends.
  • Build, develop and implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Recognize and discover opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency, sustainability, and effectiveness of reporting.
  • Conducts User Acceptance testing with the business during final project delivery and/or pre-implementation phase
  • Collaborates with the IT teams to leverage solution that would enable the teams to provide decision makers an intuitive, interactive, self-service environment that enables them to monitor business results, predict outcomes and drive action plans for optimal business performance.
  • Drive automation and predictive analytics use cases leveraging the Microsoft Power platforms or other related tools.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education
    • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or any equivalent. 
    • Certification for SQL, AI, or Digital Automation is a plus but not required
  • Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience analyzing data through Excel / Business Objects tools or Microsoft Power platforms (Power BI, Power automate, Power Apps) and other data analysis tools. Intermediate to advance PowerBI skills.
  • Experience with SAP, Siebel or SQLcoding or programming is a plus but not required
