Our Investments team manages RenaissanceRe’s $33 billion investment portfolio, allocating our assets, either directly or through investment managers, to deliver alpha against our strategic benchmark. We invest in a diverse range of assets from treasuries and corporate bonds to equities and private credit to provide capital and liquidity for underwriting risk and paying claims. Our investment portfolio is one of RenaissanceRe’s “Three Drivers of Profit”, along with underwriting income and fees, providing $1.7 billion in net investment income in 2024 to benefit our shareholders and joint venture partners. About Investments Operations
The Investments Operations team is responsible for supporting all Investments middle office activities, including trade support and settlement and counterparty maintenance for our internally managed portfolio, compliance, bank account management, data reconciliations and reporting, and performance and attribution. The team supports and works closely with Investments, Treasury, Finance, among other departments to ensure complete and accurate representation of our investment portfolio.

About the Position
Reporting directly to the VP, Investment Operations, the AVP, Trade Support Manager will oversee the delivery of all trade support activities within the investment operations function, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of day-to-day trading and post-trade activities. Successful candidates will be responsible for a wide variety of transaction management requirements, including oversight of outsourcing partners (notably BlackRock Operations), overseeing processing of trade transactions, through to settlement and ensuring timely and accurate cash and trade execution and reconciliation. Responsibilities will also include trade query and resolution, counterparty maintenance, corporate actions, support of Aladdin portfolio onboarding and asset transfers and oversight of security data management . Above all, they will support the seamless end-to-end transaction cycle for internal and external stakeholders. The AVP, Trade Support Manager will demonstrate excellent team and outsourcing partner management skills, sharp attention to detail, strong risk management and analytical skills, ownership mentality, and drive to solve problems. The AVP, Trade Support Manager is based in our new Dublin office in Dawson Street and will be part of a global and collaborative team located in Bermuda, Dublin, London and New York.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Support

Manage the transition for partial middle-office outsourcing (BlackRock Trade Support Services)
-
Oversee the outsourcing partner and ensure service is delivered to a high standard
-
Lead trade capturing, confirmation, and settlement, ensuring timely and accurate recording of trade data, reconciling broker related data and third-party platform connectivity
-
Maintain the security master data, enabling appropriate financial data organization and downstream accessibility
-
Manage the review of security data quality across proprietary and external investment and trading systems, highlighting risks, opportunities for improvement, or other recommended updates
-
Oversee reconciliation of internal and external portfolios, including start of day cash & positions
-
Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, vendors, and systems in compliance with settlement instructions and operational best practices

Handle corporate action notifications and processing, including managing impact on portfolios
-
Maintain accurate records of transactions, identifying and reconciling data discrepancies

Assist with the mechanics of onboarding new portfolios

Assist with internal reporting as needed
Team & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with other pillar leads (including Compliance, Data & Reporting, Performance) to ensure cohesive delivery and successful outcomes

Proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives that make our operations more scalable and efficient

Contribute to scalability through clear documentation of processes and procedures

Lead engagement with Trading team; proactively communicate on progress and activities which impact Trading activities
Candidate Qualifications:

7+ years of relevant experience in investment operations or middle office within the financial services industry, preferably within asset management
-
Practical experience with BlackRock Solutions Aladdin and Bloomberg required

Working knowledge of investments, fixed income markets, and/or fund accounting

Experience in managing 3rd party vendors & outsourcing providers

Strong analytical and data management skills

Proficiency with MS Office including Excel; general comfort navigating new technologies and systems

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, fluid environment
