Company Description

Guinness Storehouse is one of Ireland's most iconic venues. It has a variety of unique bars and restaurants and hosts events for up to 1,500 guests. Behind every pint poured and every event delivered is a beverage operation that has to run like clockwork.

We're looking for an organised, hands-on Assistant Beerstores Manager to help lead that operation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced stock, warehouse or logistics supervisor ready to take the next step in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will support the Beerstores Manager in running all beer and beverage stock operations across the venue. That covers ordering and deliveries, stock control, bar equipment and leading a small team. You will deputise for the Beerstores Manager when required. You will make sure every bar and event is supplied on time, to standard and cost-effectively, while keeping our quality and safety standards high.

Key Responsibilities

Stock & Ordering

  • Place accurate, timely keg and beverage orders based on trading levels and upcoming events.
  • Receive and check all deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Stock all bars throughout the day, using correct rotation to protect product quality.
  • Carry out monthly stock takes, investigate variances and report findings to management.
  • Monitor stock usage and drive cost control and waste reduction.

Equipment, Compliance & Safety

  • Order bar equipment and manage its servicing and maintenance, liaising with suppliers and contractors.
  • Keep cellars, stores and distribution points clean, safe and well organised.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing law, health & safety regulations and company policy, working closely with the H&S team.

People & Standards

  • Lead, train and motivate a small team, building a culture of accountability, teamwork and high standards.
  • Work with bar teams to make sure all products are served consistently to our quality standards.

Events & Stakeholders

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and department managers on daily and event requirements.
  • Attend weekly function meetings to plan stock for upcoming events.
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to the venue's sustainability initiatives.

Job Description

  • Experience in stock management, warehousing, logistics or procurement. This can be in hospitality, retail, drinks distribution or a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Excellent organisation, problem-solving and attention to detail, particularly in stock control.
  • Calm under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety and compliance requirements.
  • Confident with stock management software and Microsoft Office.
  • A genuine commitment to high standards and great service.

Desirable

  • Experience in a high-volume hospitality or events venue.
  • Knowledge of beer products, cellar management and correct storage and handling.
  • Experience in cost control and waste reduction.
  • Full clean Category B driving licence.
