ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a motivated Animation Intern to join our team at Black Shamrock for an exciting opportunity, this is a full time position based in our Dublin office on a fixed term basis. As part of our dynamic animation team, you will experience how we bring our AAA game project to life by assisting with realistic motion capture clean up in Maya and implementing animations in Unreal Engine. You will collaborate closely with our talented animators to ensure a seamless, immersive gaming experience. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional animation pipeline, while learning to contribute to high-quality character movements and gameplay animation. If you're passionate about animation and eager to grow in a fast-paced, creative environment, this is the perfect opportunity to build your skills and contribute to a cutting ­edge game project whilst learning from our talented & creative team on all aspects of animations within game development. 

•    Perform realistic motion capture cleanup in Maya and Unreal Engine.
•    Collaborating with the animation team to create fluid and believable character movements.
•    Learning to implement animations in Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
•    Participate in workshops, reviews, and feedback sessions on animation work.

• Qualification in Animation or relevant experience.
• Strong 12 principles of animation foundations.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine, importing animations, montages, and sequencer.
• Knowledge of in-game cycles and motion capture.
• A portfolio showcasing your animation skills.
• A strong desire to grow and develop in the field of animation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Great passion for animation and games.
• Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
