Where we Work
Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Data Modeling: You understand dimensional modeling concepts and can design scalable, well-structured data models that support analytics needs.
SQL Expertise: You write efficient, production-grade SQL and are comfortable optimizing queries for performance.

About this role
As an Analytics Engineer at Udemy, you’ll transform raw data into trusted, scalable datasets that power analytics and decision-making across the company. You’ll collaborate closely with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data models and pipelines that improve the accessibility and reliability of Udemy’s data ecosystem. This is a hands-on role with strong impact, giving you the opportunity to learn, grow, and directly contribute to Udemy’s mission.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and developing data models that support analytics and reporting needs.
Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines using modern tools such as dbt and Databricks.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
Ensuring high data quality, reliability, and accuracy through validation, testing, and monitoring.
Documenting data models and processes to make datasets accessible and user-friendly.
Troubleshooting and debugging data issues to maintain seamless analytics capabilities.
What you’ll have
2+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, data infrastructure, or a related field.
Strong SQL skills and experience building production-ready datasets.
Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Databricks, or BigQuery preferred).
Understanding of data modeling concepts, dimensional design, and best practices.
Experience designing or maintaining data pipelines with reliability and scalability in mind.
Ability to translate business requirements into robust, well-documented data solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn and grow.
Curiosity and adaptability to stay current on new tools, methods, and industry trends.
