Job Description

You will ensure that we comply with all local indirect taxes including VAT, GST, sales tax, and excise tax, among others. You will also ensure the timely filing of returns and payments, so we comply with local regulations and ensure the accurate and timely reporting in our financial statements. To succeed in this role, you must understand the accounting entries for these taxes and ensure that we are accounting appropriately. You will also handle requests and queries from local tax authorities' audits and help prepare documentation to support audits.
How you will contribute
You will:
  • Support the indirect tax process including preparation of tax returns, processing of payments and filing. You will also support the timely filing of returns and payment to ensure full compliance with local regulations. In addition, you will prepare monthly reconciliation for withholding tax and VAT (balance sheet and profit loss)
  • Support a strong controls and compliance environment within the Indirect Tax team and ensure full compliance with our AER policies. You will also ensure compliance with all indirect tax local laws and regulations in your area of responsibility
  • Provide and help interpret data from accounting records as required
  • Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement. You will also propose opportunities to improve ways of working in your area of responsibility
  • Contribute to a high performing Indirect Tax team (Mondelēz International employees and Mondelēz International Business Services business partner). You will also invest in your own personal development`

What you will bring

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in indirect taxes with subject matter knowledge and ideally a background in associated local GAAP, account analysis reporting and closing processes. Solid knowledge of local indirect tax regulation and laws. Knowledge in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting
  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business and finance beyond indirect tax scope
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven communication skills and the ability to be a team player with a drive to deliver results
  • GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and financial system knowledge
  • INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values, policies and external regulations

Quais ingredientes extra você trará?
Graduação em Ciências Contabeis, Admnistração de Empresas ou áreas relacionadas.
Pós graduação em Controladoria ou Gestão fiscal será um diferencial.
Capacidade de trabalhar em equipe.
Comunicação clara, capacidade de se adaptar a mudanças de legilação ou políticas internas da empresa.
Responsabilidade e habilidades de gestão de tempo para priorizar os prazos de recolhimento dos impostos e obrigações acessórias.
Requisitios específicos do trabalho:
- Experiência profissional de no mínimo de 3 anos na área, com foco em tributos estaduais e obrigações acessórias;
- Domínio em legislação tributária estadual incluindo ICMS-ST e federal IPI/PIS/COFINS(diferencial);
- Apuração e conciliação de impostos (ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI), cálculo de DIFAL, baixa de estoque, bloco K etc;
- Apuração e entrega de obrigações acessórias estaduais (SPED ICMS/IPI, GIA-ST)/ Analisar, preparar e enviar todas as declarações e obrigações acessórias exigidas pelos orgão estaduais;
- Conhecimento de legislação tributária federal e muncipal será considerado um diferencial.
- Conhecimento em sistemas de gestão fiscal (Synchro/Mastersaf)+ SAP + habilidades com Excel avançado;
- Capacidade de prestar suporte e esclarecimento a equipe e demais áreas sobre questões ficais;
- Inglês Intermediário será considerado um diferencial.
