Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant Manager supports the end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash cycle, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strong cash application and reconciliation processes.
Key responsibilities
Billing & revenue assurance
Prepare and send client invoices and monthly statements accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with contract terms, tax rules, and internal policies.
Resolve client billing queries swiftly, coordinating with Sales/Client Service and project teams to issue credits/rebills where required.
Maintain billing schedules and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
Credit control & collections
Proactively chase and reduce aged debt through structured contact strategies and negotiation, escalating risks early.
Manage dispute logs, root‑cause analysis, and remediation plans to prevent repeat issues.
Cash application, banking & GL
Allocate bank transactions daily to customer accounts with a high degree of accuracy, clearing unapplied cash promptly.
Perform timely month end bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
Prepare and post journals with appropriate approvals and documentation.
Credit insurance & risk
Oversee credit insurance management (limits, coverage requests, renewals, and claims), partnering with the broker/insurer and Commercial teams.
Monitor customer credit limits and recommend changes based on payment trends and risk assessments.
Qualifications & experience
Part‑qualified accountant or equivalent AR experience.
2+ years’ Accounts Receivable experience
Solid grounding in invoicing, statements, collections, aged‑debt management, bank reconciliations, journal posting, and cash allocation.
Exposure to credit insurance administration and claims advantageous.
Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations)
Understanding of revenue/billing controls and VAT/indirect tax basics

High attention to detail; strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 from home)
