We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant for a 6-month contract to join our finance team, where you will provide essential accounting support and contribute to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a critical role in assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing invoices, managing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their accounting experience within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the processing of supplier invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Managing the cashflow forecast.
  • Supporting month-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the management of petty cash and employee expense claims.
  • Handling incoming queries from suppliers and customers regarding invoices and payments.
  • Supporting the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining comprehensive financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with VAT returns as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
  • Relevant qualification or pursuing an accounting qualification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with accounting software is an advantage.
