Job Description:

About the Role:Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career? Join Microchip’s dynamic European Credit & Collections Team in Dublin as an Accounts Administrator. Reporting to the European Credit Manager, you’ll play a vital role in a supportive team environment, gaining hands-on experience and developing a broad range of financial skills. This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious professionals eager to grow their career and make a real impact.What You’ll Do:
  • Be a valued member of a collaborative team of 10+ finance professionals.
  • Support the European Accounts Receivable (AR) Team, contributing to the team’s ongoing success.
  • Gain an understanding of established credit control and risk management procedures and the application of same.
  • Work closely with experienced Risk Managers and Credit Controllers, receiving mentorship and guidance.
  • In time, as you develop your skillset, take ownership of your own ledger with the opportunity to specialize in credit, collections, or risk management.
  • Gain exposure to a wide variety of financial processes and systems, building a strong foundation for your future career.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, building your professional network and communication skills.

Requirements/Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong desire to learn, collaborate, and grow within a supportive team.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a busy office environment (finance/accounts experience is a plus, but not essential).
  • Financial literacy and good comprehension skills.
  • Positive energy, focus, and a proactive approach to new challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills—listening, written, and verbal.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with BAAN or similar accounting software is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset.
