Job Title: Accounting Manager
Department: Finance

Bear Robotics creates solutions for the future of automated hospitality and is a leading industry manufacturer of AI-driven autonomous robots. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our global Finance team based out of our Dublin, Ireland office, with global ownership of Audit, Tax, and Statutory Reporting. As the Accounting Manager, you will lead our audit relationships end-to-end, own tax compliance, and prepare our statutory and group financial statements. Over your first year, you will grow into ownership of Transfer Pricing, Equity Accounting, SBC Crosscharges and local Company Secretarial compliance, as you build context across our global entities.  The Accounting Manager will have a broad range of responsibilities and will work on a “hands on” basis. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and project-manage our statutory audit relationships across all entities, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Own and oversee as required, Tax Compliance and Corporate Tax (CT) accounting and filings across jurisdictions with the support of external tax advisors.
  • Prepare Statutory and Group Financial Statements.
  • Own Equity Accounting and share based compensation crosscharges.
  • Assist with and project manage information requests for fundraising and M&A activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Sales, Legal, People Ops and Supply Chain to support growth and expansion into new products and geographies.
  • Ensure compliance with our global financial and tax filing requirements across all tax heads.
  • Support the preparation of the financial statements for our US and international subsidiaries including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis and Board reporting.
  • Help build and implement strong financial controls across all aspects of of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Engage in project work with our ERP advisors to implement full utilization of our ERP system and drive finance transformation through process and system automation.
  • Perform technical accounting analysis under US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Work as part of a high performing accounting team on a global basis.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • None

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:  

  • Direct experience owning a statutory audit relationship end-to-end, with exposure to accounting systems (preferably NetSuite)
  • Experience in managing tax compliance and Corporate Tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience in implementing process improvements and leveraging technology to automate processes
  • Demonstrated track record of maintaining the compliance and good standing of legal entities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Expertise with US GAAP and the ability to prepare relevant technical accounting memos
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices and regulations
  • Excellent project management, communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and across multiple time zones
  • Experience using NetSuite, Google Sheets, and Zip highly preferred
  • Ability to work in our Dublin, Ireland office daily
  • Ability to travel to international locations once or twice per year

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:  

  • Experience in Manufacturing / AI / Tech industry
  • Transfer pricing project experience (leading a refresh or benchmarking cycle)
  • Company secretarial exposure
  • Equity accounting exposure

Education/Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant accounting and industry experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Big 4 / Top 10 audit or tax background strongly preferred

The pay range for this position is 71k - 104K + discretionary annual performance bonus . Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
