ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join Wilson Hartnell PR's dynamic Consumer PR team as an Account Manager. This fast paced, varied role demands a culturally astute individual with strong social savvy and deep knowledge of various PR and social platforms, and content creators. You will run busy press offices, devise global and local brand initiatives, and activate impactful social media programmes. We seek someone who excels in a stimulating environment, thrives on a story first approach, and breaks traditional PR barriers to create best in class campaigns. You will also be adept at leveraging brand talent: ambassadors, celebrities, and influencer partners, demonstrating how strategic PR, social, and influence drive impactful client results and business outcomes. A keen understanding of what drives conversation across owned, earned, shared, and paid channels is essential. If you are a skilled communicator ready to lead and innovate, we want to hear from you.

Salary will be market related, reflecting the position, the level of experience required, as well as each candidate’s individual skillset and capability. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive strategy through a deep understanding of consumer culture, media trends, and data-led research, leveraging WPP AI tools for enhanced insights.
  • Develop and activate cutting-edge social media initiatives, diverse content, and effectively engage brand talent, including influencers and ambassadors.
  • Orchestrate and execute integrated communication programmes, encompassing proactive media relations and comprehensive press office management for consumer and lifestyle media.
  • Confidently draft essential written materials (e.g. press releases, quotes) and support in crafting compelling presentations (e.g. global & local toolkits, campaign decks).
  • Skilfully manage a variety of client activities (events, content shoots, press trips), ensuring proactive task completion, efficient budget oversight, and effective communication across all levels.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships as a trusted contact, actively contributing to new business acquisition and existing account expansion.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior team members, fostering their professional development. 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven PR agency experience, especially in consumer, lifestyle, culture, or entertainment sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Gen Z trends and cultural movements.
  • Demonstrable talent for crafting compelling written content and communication tools.
  • Strong media relations track record, with an interest in evolving media and publishers.
  • Familiarity with key digital tools, such as influencer marketing platforms and social listening suites (e.g. Brandwatch, Talkwalker).
  • Expertise in core social media platforms and their strategic management, including Meta Business/Ads Manager, TikTok for Business tools, YouTube Studio/ad platforms, and LinkedIn Campaign Manage.
  • Track record in conceiving and managing integrated paid, owned, and earned campaigns across social media.
  • Practical experience or aptitude for AI tools in PR, particularly Open AI platforms.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the cultural and lifestyle media landscape.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, detail-orientation, and project management ability.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach to task prioritisation and multi-tasking.
  • Proficiency in measurement, evaluation, and KPI assessment to demonstrate impact.
