ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
As an Account Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic and enterprise accounts, driving sales growth, and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers. You will be responsible for the overall account strategy, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while achieving or exceeding sales targets. The role requires strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements and growth initiatives.
What will you be doing at Arrow ECS?
- Account Management:
Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs, challenges, and business objectives. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders. - Sales Growth & Revenue:
Drive the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring that revenue targets are met or exceeded. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services to maximize account profitability. - Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute strategic account plans for each partner, aligning company offerings with client objectives. Use market intelligence to stay ahead of trends and adapt strategies accordingly. - Partner Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through proactive communication, service excellence, and exceeding on client expectations. - Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with vendor, marketing, and operations teams to promote best customer experience, address customer challenges, and offer solutions. Facilitate internal coordination on account-related initiatives. - Negotiation & Contract Management:
Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitable business relationships. Regularly review contracts to ensure compliance and service level agreement (SLA) adherence. - Reporting & Forecasting:
Provide regular updates on account status, sales forecasts, and pipeline to senior management. Prepare reports, presentations, and account reviews to track progress against objectives. - New Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and new markets, contributing to the overall business growth strategy. - Mentoring & Leadership:
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members or sales representatives. Share industry insights, strategies, and best practices to elevate the team's performance.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the IT distribution or technology sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions, including cloud, software, hardware, and services.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective account strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver results.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales management platforms.
- Business fluency in English.
